This was an article I wrote in my final publication with the University of Florida Health, Department of Anesthesiology. In this issue we were showcasing two great African-American doctors that accomplished becoming Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist as well as being the first to graduate UF Health’s accredited fellowship program. Increasing minorities in the health and science related field is a great task but through added exposure to adolescents from the same neighborhoods as these doctors I hope others will see that their dreams can become a reality too.
In this issue I covered topics on two-conjoined twins being separated, a mission trip for Healing the Children in Nivea, Colombia and other great stories our faculty and staff shared with me over the year.
