Can you become the next Influencer?

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

influencersHave you ever thought “Instagram models” were all a myth, and just a bunch of teenagers living their imagined-insta life, with their beautiful sceneries across the country and enjoying fun gourmet eateries?

Well it’s not.

There is a career such as becoming an Instagram model, which is called an influencer or micro-influencer. How crazy it seems for some girls and guys to exploit their bodies for likes but this can really gain them some extra cash,  popularity, and free goodies.

Everybody love goodies!

According to Cosmopolitan, 21-year old Janice Joostema, is now an Instagram Model/ Influencer that currently makes 6 figures for posting images on Instagram.

The model reported to Cosmo that “she commands several thousands of dollars for a single sponsored Instagram post and aims to post about a dozen sponsored photos per month, which would place her annual earnings well into six figures (she also gets clothing, both fast-fashion and designer, for free).”

There are people all over the world currently making a living off of Instagram. For a single Instagram shot they demand $10,000 and up. A well-known Instagrammer, Kristina Bazan, signed with L’Oreal last year and now make more then $1 million. Large retailers use influencers, just like fashion brands, food and beverage companies, and media conglomerates.

Micro-influencers is a new field within influencer marketing, rather than hiring one or two big-time influencers, an ad agency will simply give out free merchandise to 50 small-timers. According to Digiday, for maximum impact an influencer with a following in the 10,000 to 100,000 range is best.

Sarah Ware, CEO and co-founder of Markerly, said that when her company engaged with the Jenner and Kardashian sisters on Instagram on behalf of a weight-loss tea company, the celebrities helped bring hundreds of conversions. Which was nice. But by activating 30 to 40 “micro-influencers,” the brand was able to convert at an even higher level.

An agency located in New York that manages Instagram personalities called Socialyte’s, manages 100 or so Instagram personalities but take 30% of their bookings in exchange for gigs. However, they won’t take you unless you have about 100,000 followers.

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL INFLUENCER INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT

The discovery is all in your hashtags (#) that is sticking a pound sign in front of a keyword to make it easier for users searching for a specific type of photo to find you. #Liveauthentic has been deployed more than 14 million times and people use it all the time to get Instagrammers to look at their pictures that will essentially amount to advertisements.

At least 20 hash tags every post is recommended. There are hash tag generated apps and websites that can be used to help with this. Some that I noted are: Focalmark, Hashtag Generator, and Hashtagify. These websites help by entering a blurb or sentence and then it will generate a list of hash tags related to that picture or ones used mostly by instagrammers.

According to Bloomberg, there is a service called Instagress that was designed to help others promote their Instagram account for more followers, likes, and comments. For $5 every 10 days, Instagress would help your Instagram become a celebrity (so to speak).

Another great asset to consider is your “lifestyle content,” when posting on Instagram. For instance, that is a picture of something other then yourself every day. People like to see a variety of content like sunsets, cityscapes, and food. Influencers usually use stock images that you can buy from photographers or download while throwing a credit here and there to not destroy the illusion.
