As someone born and raised in Miami, the cultural heartbeat of music has always been a part of my life.
For years, attending Rolling Loud was a family tradition for me and my siblings — a time to immerse ourselves in the electrifying energy of live artist and celebrate the music we love. This year, was different. I had the honor of working behind the scenes during Rolling Loud’s 10th anniversary through a collaboration with the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC).

Behind the Scenes Magic
Working with BMAC allowed me to see firsthand how much effort goes into making a global event like the Rolling Loud Festival to come to life. From coordinating with media teams to ensuring artist activation are ran smoothly, every task underscored the importance of collaboration and creativity. From sponsorship areas and well executed themes throughout the festival even down to the execution of artist dressing areas the event was well organized and executed. Contributing with press relations, supporting backstage logistics, and ensuring artists’ or media teams are escorted properly to and from the stage locations.

A Meaningful Collaboration
Partnering with BMAC added deeper significance to the experience. BMAC’s mission is to advocate for racial equity in the music industry which resonated with me personally. Their are many talents and career opportunities that should be explored among all ethnic groups and races. Being part of a team working toward amplifying Black voices in music felt both purposeful and empowering. Seeing legendary and rising artists alike use their platform to push culture forward was unforgettable.
Unforgettable Highlights
Rolling Loud is more than a music festival — it’s a cultural movement. Watching iconic performances while knowing I played a small part in helping towards the event happen felt surreal. Highlights included seeing some of my favorite Hip Hop and R&B artists take the stage, connecting with passionate creatives, and even grabbing some festival swag thanks to sponsors like Backwoods and MusiCares. Escorting artist to various news outlets like Complex, Billboard, and seeing some of of the execution of Amazon’s Music Livestream for Rolling Loud was really breathtaking.
A Dream Come True
Reflecting on this experience, I’m filled with gratitude. Working an event I’ve admired for years was a full-circle moment, reminding me that dreams are achievable through persistence, passion, and the right opportunities. I’m excited for what’s next in my career in the world of entertainment, media, and marketing. I’m thankful for the memories made at Rolling Loud’s milestone anniversary. This moment was a full circle moment, just earlier in the year of 2024 I worked the People Matter Festival where I interviewed artist and worked along with the People Matter Festival media team.
