Retrograde Reflections: When Life Pauses, Listen

Mercury went retrograde… and suddenly, so did everything else.

As a business owner, you’re expected to keep going. To show up on time. To post, produce, promote. But in the midst of client meetings and strategy sessions, life doesn’t stop happening. And sometimes, it brings up unresolved feelings or unexpected emotions.

Recently, I found myself reflecting on a past relationship—one that still holds emotional weight. A moment of vulnerability resurfaced, stirring feelings I thought I had already processed. And in that space of uncertainty, I realized:

This retrograde isn’t just a tech glitch. It’s an energetic reset.

🌀 What Mercury Retrograde Really Brings

Everyone jokes about Mercury retrograde messing up emails and flights, but it goes deeper. Mercury rules communication, travel, contracts, and clarity. When it’s retrograde, it’s a cosmic invitation to slow down, revisit, and realign.

Whether in love or in leadership, you might feel:

  • Misunderstood.
  • Delayed.
  • Emotionally off balance.
  • Like your old stories are reappearing just when you thought you closed the chapter.

I’ve felt it in more ways than one—emotionally and professionally. Certain decisions now feel like they need reworking. Conversations I thought were over are resurfacing. And instead of pushing through, I’m learning to simply sit with it.

💼 For Women in Business: When the Universe Tells You to Slow Down

If you’re a founder, creator, or visionary, Mercury retrograde might be making everything feel a little foggy right now. That doesn’t mean you’re off track—it just means you’re being asked to pause and check in.

This is your reminder to:

  • Revisit your foundation. Are your values still aligned with how you’re showing up?
  • Reflect on your pace. Are you moving with intention—or just trying to keep up?
  • Rethink the pressure to constantly perform. What if rest and realignment are part of the growth strategy?

Sometimes, when things stall—projects, relationships, or clarity—it’s not a setback. It’s sacred space. A reset. A chance to come back stronger, clearer, and more connected to your purpose.

💬 Final Reflection: Where You Stand Is Enough

Whether you’re navigating emotions, reworking your business strategy, or simply feeling out of sync, let this retrograde remind you: you don’t have to have all the answers right now.

Clarity comes with stillness. Trust comes with time.
You’re allowed to not know. You’re allowed to pause.

For now, I’m choosing to listen more, push less, and trust that what’s meant for me—personally and professionally—will meet me in the right season.

Until then, I’m staying Careyd Away!
