Noname is an up-and-coming rapper, artist, and poet from Chicago. Her real name Fatimah Warner is a lyricist most people say sound like Chance the Rapper but I think her sound resembles neo-soulness but in rap form. Listening to her is like a breath of fresh air when you first wake up on a Sunday morning looking up at your ceiling. She released an album entitled Telefone. My favorite tracks on this album is “Yesterday” and “Diddy Bop.”
Most recently, Noname took part in Chance The Rapper’s iconic performance of “Finish Line” during SNL’s latest Christmas episode. She was also on one of Chance’s tracks called “Lost”on his mixtape Acid Rap. Her sound is derived from Chicago’s blues legends that she liked listening to like Buddy Guy and Howlin’ Wolf. Noname is now on tour and all of her shows are sold out up to March. This young lady is definitely making noise in the rap world and worth a listen.
